Gone mad with Tags!!

Posted on: 07/02/2012 22:05:44 Quarantine this entry
I've suddenly become addicted to cutting out tags with the Sizzix and decorating - either stamping or covering then stamping - just loving them!!

Also really pleased today as I've been practising with Pro Markers and finally think I've cracked it and have got the results I wanted.

Loving being on maternity leave at the moment, my little one has just turned 8 months and into everything, I'm quite amazed really at being able to get some time do create these bits and bobs but somehow it's happening!!

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the lovely comments.

Happy Crafting to everyone!!

Going mad on uploading my cards & bits!!!

Posted on: 21/01/2012 22:04:43 Quarantine this entry
Just whiling away a Saturday evening uploading my cards and a few other bits for all to see.

I've got so many cards hanging around that I want to show them off, have also spent some time putting some on Ebay too to see if I can sell some rather than them just gathering dust!!

Loving being on maternity leave with my first baby, I can't believe he's nearly 8 months old and already so determined to do what he wants, he really does have his own clear character already.  Really have to try to make more of my time when he's asleep to try to make some pennies from my crafting!!

Happy Crafting everyone!!

What a difference a year (or so) makes!

Posted on: 10/01/2012 21:22:35 Quarantine this entry
A year or so ago I was working full time, pregnant for the first time and now my little boy is just over 7 months old. I just don't know where the time has gone.

Before getting pregnant I remember thinking to myself, "When I'm on maternity leave I'll have loads of time for crafting!", how wrong I was. Only now am I able to snatch a few minutes here and there to do a card. Often a card will lay on my desk for days being tweaked.

Anyway, I've finally been able to get some images uploaded to my gallery this evening whilst he is asleep - hopefully there'll be some more over the next few weeks too.

I do feel a little out of the loop on current trends and stuff so am also trying to research and get myself back into the swing of things - albeit slowly!!

Happy crafting!!

How cool are Tim Holtz products!!

Posted on: 06/09/2010 20:24:45 Quarantine this entry
Having been to the Sincerely Yours show in Thetford last weekend, I've cottoned on to Tim Holtz products - I brought a couple of distress inks and some stamps from Crafty Individuals and now I can't get enough of the grunge/altered art theme. I've also got some stamps from the well known auction site from Stampendous and now can't wait to play and put some pics on here of my creations!!!

I'd love to hear from anyone who is perhaps a little more advanced in altered art as I'm wanting to develop in this area and create a memory book in the grungy theme.

Now can't wait til Ally Pally on 25th!!!

Happy Crafting all!

Lovin my Docrafts gallery!!!!

Posted on: 20/07/2010 22:32:28 Quarantine this entry
I haven't been around for a little while and have just put some more cards on to my gallery. It's a really nice feeling to see people's comments about your work - especially when you're critical of it yourself.

I can really recommend sharing your work with the Docrafts gang!!!

Thanks all for looking at my work and taking time to add comments.

It's also great to come and look at other people's work and see more and more beautiful works of art - KEEP UP GREAT CRAFTING!

Crafting for Martham Carnival

Posted on: 01/07/2010 13:38:35 Quarantine this entry
Whilst the sun is shining I'm indoors preparing for a 2-day event in Martham, near Great Yarmouth this weekend.
As well as cards, I'm stocking up on my bags, brooches and fabric flowers for brooch kits and embellishing projects.
Great to see the new edition of the Creativity mag but still don't think I can think about Christmas just yet!!!!
Happy Crafting!

Weekend inspiration!!

Posted on: 14/06/2010 22:17:43 Quarantine this entry
I have had a great weekend just gone and made several cards which I hope to upload over this coming week. I'm at a local village event - Martham Carnival, near Great Yarmouth if anyone is around on the weekend of 3rd & 4th July so I am trying to get some new cards made to show off and hopefully sell.

Recently I've changed job roles which has been a very hectic time for me but again, crafting enables me to come home and sink into a totally seperate world from that which I left behind at the office!

About me

I love making cards and also enjoy dabbling with a bit of scrapbooking and also sewing and crochet. I've been cardmaking for several years now and used find to it was the perfect tonic after a hard day at the office now being a first time mum find it a little more difficult to fit it all in! I love showing off my creations to friends and family. Basically I love all things crafty and would love to make a living from doing what I love - we can all dream can't we!!!

Interests

My interests are really anything crafty and creative. I love to make things and have from a young age loved to cut and stick things!! I love girly films and all kinds of music really. And now I love being a Mum!!!
