Trenouth Trenouth Hi Gloria, thanks for letting me share the card you made inspired by mine, its wonderful to know someone thought it good enough to try out! I love yours and its worked well with the shape you used and the lemon colour good for any baby. Emma

wickens36 wickens36 Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year

About me

I  was head of a small rural school  17 children when I started, 54 when I retired . Married to Bill. Two lovely children, one grand daughter. Both live a distance away - Peter in Sussex and Suzanne in Derbyshire .

I joined Docrafts in 2007 but have been a "lurker" dropping in on the Craft Talk , learning a lot and picking up lots of tips. Took a great leap forward when I had a CB for Christmas. Like most people I spend too much because the products are so tempting but when I sell cards half goes to charity. I have recently started collecting for the local breast reconstruction unit at Broomfield. Never had to go through that after my op but the money supports the work they do over and above the NHS. I am lucky enough to have a spare room for crafting but it means it's a horrible mess as I only have to clear up when everyone's home for Christmas !

Interests

I've always been a crafty person. My grandmother taught me to sew and knit. As a primary school teacher I was into art and technology, though my first job was in a science lab where I met Bill.As well as teaching qualifications I have a DIP RD (reading development)
When I retired I took up painting with a group of friends and we still go to art class.  Some paintings are in my gallery. I've had some made into cards too.

Thank you for visiting my gallery . Your comments are very much appreciated.
