My homemade button MDUC Tilda entry

Posted on: Sunday, 20 May 2012
Hi Bloggers, sorry this will be my third post of the day! Got to get on top of the Thank you cards for this week :-D

Have you seen the new MDUC - its make your own embellishments. Well that got me thinking.  I had seen something on the Craft pad about making your own buttons, and I wanted to have a go, so seemed the perfect time to start! I have done it a little differently to the CP tutorial, but I am very happy with the results, I think I might do it again.

The papers are the new Maja design vintage summer, with Pion. I have distressed the papers with Milled Lavender ink. I coloured Tilda with Hellebores in Copics.

To make the button I used a MS punch to cut out 4 Butterflies in the Maja paper. I stuck them together and distressed the edges. Then I gave then a couple of layers of sealing varish. When they were dry I used my book making bradle to put the holes in them like buttons. Cool huh?!

Right then I will give you all a rest from me now :-D! As you were.....
Hey bloggers, I have some super sad news today. Sadly this will be the last Paper Sundaes challenge. I know! :-( Sadly Christine & Shana have made the though decision to close the challenge blog, so they can have time to craft again. Running such a popular challenge blog and all the admin must be such hard work, just finding the time to make a few cards a week is enough for me!

So as this is the last challenge let make it a good one! Our theme is Pretty in Pink.  My card has been inspired by all the horrid weather we have been having. I was rumaging through my stamps deciding which to use and she jumped out - lol!

The papers are all Magnolia, machine sewn and distressed. I used a little white paint on the edges too. The lush flowers are WOC. The fabby ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon shop. The cute charm is from Jane Creative. Tilda has been coloured in Copic Markers.

Please pop on over and see the girls lovely work and join us for this last challenge, We have a great prize from Michelles.

I just want to say thanks for Christine & Shana for all their hard work, and for having me on the team. I am going to miss the challenge, and all the lovely ladies on the DT, but am looking forward to seeing some lovely crafty makes on all your blogs soon :-)

I would like to enter her in the following challenges -
Wild Orchid Crafts - Anything goes
Bunny Zoe Crafts - Challenge # 24 Anything goes (please add DT next to my name I forgot on the linky -Doh! thanks :-D)

Purple Tilda

Posted on: Sunday, 20 May 2012
Morning! Realised last nigh that I need to make a few Thank you cards. Its Beth's Birthday on Wednesday, and she has started getting presents in the post already. So best get a few ready :-D

I do love this Tilda for a thank you card, I just love this flower pot I think - lol! I decided to colour her in a sort of Vintage Purple as the 7 Kid challenge is Purple. I tried to match Victorian Velvet distress ink with my Copics.  I think it came out pretty well. I am going to give distress inks another go, but I find I always reach for the Copic's first I just find it so much easier. Maybe I will invest in the Distress Markers.... Anyway, back to the card. The papers are Pion, distressed with vintage photo. I have used the Magnolia Kurbits corner on the edge. The flowers are WOC, the ribbon and lace from my stash.  The butterflies are MS Punch. I also used a Magnolia Tilda lace die, but pretty much covered it up with Tilda -lol!

Well thats it for now. I will back later with a new Paper Sundaes Challenge. See you then :-D

I would also like to enter her in the following challenges -
Simon says stamp & Show - Anything goes
Its a Magnolia Challenge - Bingo .....Dies or Punches, Pearls & Side (Kant translated as side so not sure is I full fit the challenge?)

Forget me not Tilda

Posted on: Friday, 18 May 2012
Hey blog land. Phew I have been v busy today, inbetween the usuall child care I have been colouring up this Tilda. I love the new Magnolia Paper Forget me not wallpaper, and I wanted to match up the colours on Tilda. I thought I would use an old fave Tilda with Hawaiian Flower, she is so pretty.

I was keen to get my entry in for MDUC, they have a great Sketch from Lori this week. I also thought I would get my 1st entry into the new challenge on the blog (haha - see what I did there?!) Tildas Town Challenge. I am hoping that a striking Blue will be noticed, as It an Anything goes challenge, so they are sure to have a lot of entries :-)

So all the papers are Magnolia, I have used a MS lace punch under the yummy ribbon, which I found in my stash. The papers have been distressed with broken glass ink. Flowers the usual place, Inside has been finished to match with a cute sentiment from Daisy & Dandelion set.

Hope you all have a good evening. Think its time for a cuppa now :-D

Yellow Dancing Tilda

Posted on: Thursday, 17 May 2012
Hey bloggers, well here is my TOMIC entry this week. They have a great sketch this week, and photo inspiration, with a yellow colour theme.

Phew, I have been having so much trouble with this naughty Tilda today. Still not quite what I had in my mind, the yellow ended up more gold than the soft yellow I had in mind - Grrr! The lush papers are Pion, the flowers and butterfly are WOC. I have used some yummy yellow ribbon I found in my stash. The edges have been distressed with Pumice Stone and I have used the Kurbits corner on the paper edges.

Hope you are all having a lovely crafty evening. I think I should go a see my hubby, before he forget what I look like - lol! :-D

Liebster Award

Posted on: Thursday, 17 May 2012
Hey bloggers - I had noticed the Liebster award badge on a few blogs and wondered what it was. Well the idea of the Leibester blog award is to spread the love from one small blog to another (under 200 followers). Cute idea huh? .... So now I am super excited as I have been awarded a Liebster by Janine I am truly honoured - Thank you Janie :-D

To accept my award, I have to :
Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of me - You really should check out Janies blog, she has some super creations....
  1. Post the award on your blog.
  2. Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate.
  3. Leave a comment on the blogs of the 5 people you have chosen to let them know.

Claire - Pastel & Creams
Viv - Viv's Visuals

Please check out these talented ladies work, I am sure you wont be disapointed in a visit, I love visiting them to see the lovely creations they all make ;-D

Hoping to be back soon with my TOMIC challenge entry, still working it up.... Oh the yellows are being pesky today.... :-)

Floaty Fairy Tilda

Posted on: Wednesday, 16 May 2012
Morning bloggers. Hope your all having a good day. Its started to brighten up here, starting to feel like summer might be coming :-)

Now I started colouring this Tilda, to sell on ebay, but decided she looked so lovely I had to make her into a card -lol!

So its the lovely new Summer Flower Tilda. I have used some yummy Pion papers distressed with Walnut ink. The Seam binding was in a prize pack from the Pretty little ribbon shop, thanks lovelies. The lace was in my stash - who new - lol! Maybe that is a sign I should have a tidy.  I am so tidy in the rest of the house, but my craft room looks like a bomb has gone off, I am too embarrised to add a pic, it's shameful [Blush].

Anyway back to the card - ahem... The Butterfly is a Marianne die, I have had it ages and not used it, don't know why, I love it!  I have added a Tilda tag, I had been coveting this tag for a while and even waited till I had sold enough on ebay to buy it, how good was that?! The Flowers are WOC,  I farted about with these for ages, I seem to be buying flowers all the time, but never seem to find JUST the right ones - do you know what I mean? It came out okay in the end... I think lol!

The cute little fairy charm on the tag is from Jane creative - Thanks Jane :-)  The stamp I got from lovely Mel (Exclusively by Mel), I think its a just rite stamp? They are lovely anyway. I used vintage garden stempelglede stamps around the edges on the tag and Tilda.

I would like to enter the following challenges -
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Flowers
Wild Orchid Crafts - Anything goes
Bunny Zoe Crafts Challenge - Anything goes

Right then off to the park for small person crazyness, with Beth's best friend Roro - Rosie :-D Have a good day all.

Challenge #23 Fathers day at DMCC

Posted on: Tuesday, 15 May 2012
Hello all. Well its a new challenge over at DMCC. We are celebrationg fathers day.

So this is my newest Edwin. He arrived in my Magnolia spring kit, and was the 1st one I inked up:-) My father is no longer with us, so this is a commission from my little girl (ok so she is only 2, but you get the idea!). I though he would rather like this Edwin, when ever we go to the beach he is off in a rock pool looking for 'creatures' so he made me think of him.

I have gone for a distressed beach thing. So everything has been distress inked with Vintage photo and then a bit of white acrylic paint. Edwin is mounted on a Spellbinders star cirlce. The papers are magnolia and my minds eye. I have machine sewn them, and added a little cheese cloth for a sort of fishing net feel - lol!  The lovely fence is Magnolia and the flower. I have used Tim holtz dies for the banner and letters. I added a little shell at the bottom, which I think he will like :-)

These are the copic markers I used to colour Edwin -

Thanks for looking in. Hope you can join us for our challenge this fortnight, we have a great prize from Doe@ding. I have bought a couple of special Magnolia stamps from them and they are so helpful :-)

I would like to enter him in the following challenge -
Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge - Fathers day

Hope you can pop over and join in.:-D

I have used Pion papers and a little cheese cloth for a bit of floatyness. The Butterfly are also Magnolia. The Ribbon is from Ribbon girl and the flowers WOC. Tilda has been coloured with Copic's. I am loving the distress style now :-) The sentiment in the bottom is from Stamping all day.  I also used a MS Lace punch and a cute pearl brad on the bow.

We have a great prize this week from Stamp and Create, hope you can pop on over and join in the fun.

I would like to enter her in the following challenges - #

Celebrate Tilda!

Posted on: Wednesday, 9 May 2012
Hey Bloggers. Phew back from visiting Grandma, but been so ill :-( Got some horrid bug when we got home on Sunday night, in bed for most of the Bank Hol Monday. Missed so much crafting time... Grrr....

Anyway this lovely Special Tilda arrived yesterday, well that got me out of my sick bed - lol! I had to colour her. I thought I would make the effort to follow CLP sketch #47 , do you know this is the 1st time I have entered CLP's challenge! I know, I know......

So this cute stamp is one of the specials from Duymelot. They also have a special Edwin too. I am defo not on top form yet, but this came out okay in the end. Sadly I made the whole card to big for my card boxes - Doh!

The papers are Papermania, Flowers WOC the rest is from my stash. I have used Tim Holts banner die and Magnolia Tilda's lace die.

Think I will just stick to colouring toppers for a few days, ease myself back in gently :=D

Paper Sundaes - Mothers Day challenge #119

Posted on: Sunday, 6 May 2012
Hello. Well I am back again with another Paper Sundaes challenge - Mothers day. We are sponsored this week by Simon Says Stamp. I have decided to breach the most lovely paper for this one - I have just been looking at it for weeks, and today is the day!

I have used Copics to get a distressed look on Tilda. I have inked up this lovely Watering Can Tilda from Sweet Rainbow collection. The colours used are E13,E11,E00,B91,B95,YG63,G20,E42,E41,E40,R20,W3

This super lovely paper is from BoBunny - Welcome Home Picket fence. I have distressed the edges with Pine Needles ink and used a Stempelglede Stamp around the edges of the image and sentiment. I wanted to do something a little different, and to be able to see more paper. So here is inside.

Okay so this is just such yummy scrummy paper :-) The cute sentiment is from a Daisy & Dandelion stamp set. The Butterflies are Martha Stewart. The lovely shabby chic corner is from Jane Creative - Thanks Jane :-)
Hope you can pop over an play too. Have a great Sunday.

Hola Tilda

Posted on: Wednesday, 2 May 2012
Hello Bloggers, Just a very quick post. As Beth and I  are off to stay with Grandma for a few days. I wanted to blog this card I made last night for the MDUC - Bon Voyage.  I thought I would do a play on words. So my card sentimet is Holiday Romance, which you could take to be the love of holiday or something else-lol!

I inked up the cute Spanish Tilda, and thought given she is spanish my sentiment should be too ;-D. Hope I translated it right, I have been having terrable trouble with google translator!

The papers are Pion, the flowers WOC. I also used the cute Pion butterflies. The tag is Magnolia. The lace is from my stash. Sorry is such a rush I forgot to note with colours I used when I coloured Tilda, I used Copic Markers.

I would also like to enter Midweek Magnolias- May flowers.

Have a great week/weekend bloggers, See you next week :-D

Challenge #22 Mothers Day at DMCC

Posted on: Tuesday, 1 May 2012
Hello Folks, its soon to be Mothers day for most of Europe, the 14th May in the Netherlands. So the Challenge this fortnight at DMCC is a card for your Mum. Here is my little offering.

I have always like this Tilda. I have coloured her in copic markers, finshed with stardust stickles. The papers are Magnolia, but the base paper is a scrap I had left over, sadly I don't know where I got it! All the edges have been distressed with weathered wood ink. Behind Tilda I have used a Magnolia Love stamp and lightly watercoloured with more Distress ink.

I have used the rather lovely Cataline Wreath in the layers, and Magnolia leaves from the Swirls and leaves doohicky die set. The Flowers are WOC and the ribbon and silver corner are Ribbon girl.

We are sponsored this week by Hobbyshoppie.  Hope you can pop over and play along too.
Take care
Hello all. I posted a little while back how thrilled I am to have been selected to join the lovely ladies over at the New Fashionista challenge blog, and here I am with my Challenge # 2 Weddings or Anniversary card.

Now it my Wedding Anniversary this month (hope hubby isn't looking on here as its not till the 15th!) so here is Mr H's card (we are formal like that in our house, not - lol!)

Isn't she so cute! This is the new Tilda unanchor for the new collection. So here is her story. Mr H and I were married on the beach on the beautiful Island of Antigua. On the day of our wedding a massive great big grey battleship appears on the horizon! So I thought I could combine the great ocean background from Lazy days with the new cutie Anchors tilda (not sure of her real name), with that rather cute boat in the background to remind him or our day :-)

I liked the idea of creating a sort of old fashioned picture book, so my card is actually a card within a card. The ribbon holds it all together.

The papers are Magnolia and machine sewn - Naturally - lol! Distressed with Vintage photo ink. The postcard was made with the Portobello Road stamp set from Papermania. I have coloured her in Copics - The colours I have used are -

The ribbon is from my stash. The flowers and gold corner are from WOC. I also added a little of the Tim holtz photo reel ribbon to my flowers following my old pictures thing.

I hope you can pop on over to see all the amazing creations my temies have made, and join in the fun.

Have a good day all! :-)

Posted on: Sunday, 29 April 2012
Well hello all. Here again with another challenge at Paper Sundaes - Ribbons and Pearls. We are sponsored this week by the lovely Lilli of the Valley. I thought I would use one of the super cuties from the new LOTV Spring collection - Patchwork Butterfly. I decided to make this card for my little one. Its her birthday in May, and her best cuddly friend in a Rabbit called Basher:-)

The papers are a mix of Magnolia and the a scrap from my stash. The Ribbon is from the Ribbon girl. The Flowers & Pearls are from WOC. The sentiment is also a Lili of the Valley Stamp. I just masked out the center from the Birthday stamp in the set of 7 round Sentiments stamps. Butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. I coloured the image with Copic Markers. The colours used below.

Thanks for popping in, Have a great Sunday.

I would like to enter the following challenges -

Flowers were wishes Tilda

Posted on: Friday, 27 April 2012
Morning bloggers. I created this card yesterday, whilst juggling all my chores and the baba. I am pretty pleased it came together quite well in the end, was touch and go when baba wanted to 'help' me sew the papers - lol!

I used the great photo inspiration at TOMIC - Get well card. I also thought I could do some more stitching for the Totally Tilda challenge. I thought I would vary my stitches for you so have gone for a zig-zag ladies - lol! The Papers are Pion, as are the butterflies. They are so yummy, I will have to order more..... Although I have just ordered some of the new Maggies, so probably not this week :-D The flowers at WOC, the ribbon & Clock charm are from my stash and the lush pearl on the bow is a brad from Hobby House.

I though as it was a get well/best wished card for TOMIC, I would get a verse in, something a bit more that just get well. So it reads 'If these flowers were whishes, then my wish for you is to get well soon.' I can't claim any credit for the words I found them on the web!

Anyway hope you all have a super duper day. We are off to the farm this morning, if they let us in, last week I turned my back for a second and found Beth climbing up the chicken house!

I would like to enter the following challenges -
My Mum's Craft Shop - The great outdoors
Dream Valley Challenges - Earth Tones
Duymelot Design - Easle Card

A Splashy Birthday.

Posted on: Wednesday, 25 April 2012
Hey bloggers. I don't know about you but its been raining cats and dog here! This means bubs and I will have to go to the soft play dungeon today for her to burn some energy..... Anyhow given how wet it is here I thought I would ink up this new lovely 'Water Lily' (so nice to know her name now) Tilda from the new Collection.

I have a couple of challenges I wanted to enter, so I have machine sewn my papers for Totally Tilda - Stiching. I have used Doohickey tag die and a Martha Stewart Punch for Deep Ocean Challenges - Dies and Punches. My papers are Raspberry Road. The flowers are WOC.

Tilda is coloured with Copics (E13,E11,E00,W3,E55,E59,YR20,V91,V93,V91,V000,YG63,
G20,B32). I have distressed the edges with Vintage photo. The sentiment on my tag is Magnolia also from the new collection. The inside is finished simply to match.

While I was trying to take my pictures of this card this morning, I found a little person had been taking her own, of herself - lol! Then demanded I take a pic of her too :-)

This is Beth's 'cheese' face!

Have a good day all.

Challenges I would also like to enter -
Midweek Magnolia - Open Theme

Paper Sundaes - Lets get Cute Challenge

Posted on: Sunday, 22 April 2012

Hello blogland. Well I am super duper excited today, as I am posting my first DT card for Paper Sundaes! I was so chuffed when they asked me to join the team! This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps, and they very kindly gave the DT an image to play with. I picked this little cutie Fireman with truck from the Sunbonnets collection. As soon as I saw him I thought of a friends little boy. His birthday is coming up soon. So here he is.

I used copic Markers to colour him (colours below). The papers are Magnolia & Echo Park. I have mounted him on a Nesti Star circle die. I distressed the edges slightly with Vintage Photo ink. The Gold corner is from WOC and the Ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is a rub-on. I also added brass pearls at the bottom - I wanted them to shine like a firemans buttons on his coat -lol!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you can join us this week :-)

I would like to enter the following challenges -

Craft your days away - Metal
Cute card Thursday - Metallica

Holiday Book

Posted on: Saturday, 21 April 2012
Afternoon blogland. I have been busy this afternoon with a little project I have been thinking about doing for a while, and I suddenly I had an idea this morning. I wanted to make a scrapbook for our family holiday this year. I am rubbish at remembering to take pictures when we are away, I thought if I make a book we might remember this year - lol!

I also wanted to make something that fitted the TOMIC challenge this week - #46 Mini world stamp & Doohicky. I am not a massive collector of the mini world stamps, but I had this lovely little Tilda in my Spring kit - I think I love all the one's I had in the kit. I can't wait for the rest ;-)

I coloured Tilda with Copic markers (E13,E11,E00,W3,R29,R27,R24,E31,E25,E27,E41,B97,B95,B93,E71,E70,C0). She is on the Doohickey Scalloped Tag by Magnolia. I have dusted the edges with chalk. and lightly created the sky with blue chalk.

The papers are Portabello road from Papermania. The letters are Tim holtz die and the flowers are WOC. The charm is from My Crafty heart and the ribbons are from Ribbon Girl and my stash. The edges I have used Marther Stewart punch. The little sentiments are fizzy moon and Magnolia. The tiny tag is a Martha Stewart punch. I have decorated inside very simply with Magnolia shells and I added a pocket for tickets and flyer from our hols.

Hope you have all a lovely evening, I will be back tomorrow with some more. :-)

I would also like to enter the following challenges -
The Stamping boutique - Anything goes
The Pretty little ribbon shop - To die for
7 Kids challenge - Dies & Punches
Sweet Stamping - More than 1 ribbon

Hello. Just a quick post while my little squeaker is asleep. I just had to share this cute little card I made last night.

I am just loving the new collection at Lili of the Valley. This little cutie is called Patchwork present. I always find the LOTV stamps so easy to colour. I used copics markers(E42,E41,E40,W3,RV55,RV63,G43,G46,E71,E70,C0,C1).

The papers are both from Magnolia. The Ribbon is from the Ribbon girl and the flowers are WOC. The little sentiment is from a Fizzy moon set on a Martha Stewart punch tag, I have also used a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch too. Gems and Button from my stash.

Now even more exciting that my new stamps - I am delighted to be joining the fab team over at Paper Sundaes. The current challenge is Anything goes, always a fav :-) Hope you can pop on over an join in the fun.

Challenge #21 DMCC - Tag, Bookmark or Door hanger

Posted on: Sunday, 15 April 2012
Hello all. I am back with another fab challenge at Dutch Magnolia Chickies this fortnight, We are looking for a Tag/Door hanger or Bookmark. I decided to make this little cute tag with the cutie from Princess and Princesses - Tilda of the valley.

I saw her in a flowered arbour, so used the Tim holtz bird cage die and cut the middle out for her to sit in. I have distressed the edges with Victorian velvet ink. The paper is Magnolia, but it rather lost under all the embelies - lol! The leaves are a Mays art ribbon I picked up from my local craft shop. I have used my Memory box wreath die at the top and a Martha Stewart butterfly. I though it would be more fun if it I cut the flower out and gave her a lovely tulip from WOC - lol. The charm is from my stash. The shape is from an X-cut die.
Why not pop over and see the ladies lovely creations and add your entry to the list. We have a great prize this week from Jane Creative-

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great Sunday :-) Jenny x

If you go down to the woods today....

Posted on: Sunday, 8 April 2012
Hiyer, just a quick post today. I have been really enjoying the easter break, I have been allowed quite a lot of extra crafting time, great for catching up on DT projects and a personal project.......

My little buba is turning 2 in May, and I wanted to make her party invitations. She is having a Teddy Bears picnic party this year. I used one of her fav Bears (Big Bob), and her play house (which was a presnet from her Grandma) as inspiration.

I thought as I only had to make a handfull I would use a criss cross card. I bought some die cut bears, fences which I coloured with chalk and copics. Used some lovely pink checked papers from Raspberry Road.

I have machine sewn the papers and I punched the edges of the pocket part with my lush new lace & lattice punch from fiskars. The butterflys are Martha Stewart. I have distressed the edges with Victorain Velvet ink.

I also used a stemplegeled stamp on the page inside around the edges. The little flower is from WOC. I did have some help - Beth decided to join me at my craft desk and do some sticking!!

I would  like to enter them in the following challenges -

Southern Girls Challenge - You got something you wanna say
Pile it on Challenge - 'S' (sewing)
Shopping our stash - Punch it out

Home style Tilda

Posted on: Friday, 6 April 2012
Hiyer. Today I wanted to make my friend's Birthda card, and I was also really keen to get a card made for the Midweek Magnolia challenge - Homespun style. I missed last week's great stetch, just not enough days in the week - lol! So her she is.

I was really inspired by the great photo

Tilda is coloured in Copic markers. I have distressed the edges and used the new Magnolia kurbitz corner on the edges of the image and inside the card. The papers are from Raspberry Road, Shabby Chic 2. I have machine sewn the papers - phew it took ages, as I also made a pocket inside.

The Sentiment is from the New Magnolia collection - My kit arrived yesterday. I really wanted to use one of the yummy Tilda's from that, but just could not make it fit this challenge.... Grrrr, but have coloured pretty much all of them now I love, love love the new wedge heel shoes - I will post a pic at the bottom ;-)

The lovely flowers are from WOC, I won the Totally Tilda challenge, and a fabbo box of lush flowers arrived this week - Thanks ladies. The lush ribbon is from Ribbon girl - its actually seam binding, but was just the perfect fit with the pink paper, I had to use it inside and out!

Okay so here are my new lovelys :-D

I think I will have to add these toppers for sale on ebay, as sadly my craft budget has run dry this month :-( So back to my Magnolia sweat shop, as my sister calls it to make topperS to sell - Lol!

I would also like to enter my card in the following -
Simply Magnolia Challenge - Dies, Punches and Ribbon

Have a great Easter all xx
