About me

I'm married to Dave, with 2 boys - one is almost 18 and one is 15.   The three of them are fantastic!  I have loads of family, more aunts, uncles,  cousins, nieces and nephews than you can shake a stick at.  I am very close to my  sister, she is an absolute star and I don't know what I'd do without her.  I am currently unemployed having been made redundant.  We are struggling a bit but no worse than lots of other people and we are hanging on in there.  I'm pretty easy going I think and fairly open-minded, but friends tell me that I'm too honest for my own good.  However, I can definitely be trusted with a secret!  I just don't have any myself!

Interests

I love to read, especially whodunnits, biographies and sci-fi and fantasy.   Yes folks, I love hobbits, elves and dwarves!  The wonderful thing about fantasy stories is that no matter how monstrous the baddie is the goodies always win in the end.   I do watch some telly.  Along with the rest of the nation I'm a big Larkrise to Candleford fan.  I also like NCIS (though not as much as I used to), Numbers and The Mentalist.  The only soap I watch is Doctors.  I love to cook.  Do a little bit of baking but not much.  Last but not least I like crafting.  I am incredibly slow, but I only make stuff for myself so that's okay I suppose.  Except that I never manage to make enough Christmas cards.  I have only done card making so far but I want to get into scrapbooking.  Thanks for looking. x
