A busy few days

Posted on: 24/08/2011 22:43:15 Quarantine this entry
Hi all, well it has been a busy few days for me and mine, hubby and i went to one of my oldest friends wedding on Saturday, whilst the kids stayed with my in-laws, in fact my boys went there Friday but hubby dropped my baby girl off Sat morning.
We had an amazing time at the wedding, is was a lovely and at times a very funny service, at one point the Reverand, when difining love and talking about those who have never experienced love in any form used this example "It would be like the Joy of Sex being written by a Nun", there was obviously more to this story, but i dont think this is a quote i will forget easily lol.
I collected my girl on Sunday, but left the boys there as on Monday they all went to visit my sister in law in Bristol, they all had a great time and they only came home this afternoon.
The photographer at the wedding was looking on my FB page at some of the cards and things i have made, and asked me to make her a few things, i'm really hoping it leads to a regular working relationship, so i have been busy for the last 2 days designing and creating for her, she has seen pictures of what i have done so far and is very happy.

A big collection

Posted on: 18/08/2011 22:09:22 Quarantine this entry
Hi all, well i have just realised, that at the moment i am enjoying the colouring in side of card making, more than actually making the cards, i have built up quite a collection of images, 8 in the last 2 days, & thats not including the ones i did last week, so today i actually sat at my craft table and made 3 cards (photo's will be added tomorrow, cause its to dark to get a good picture now) one of which i had to make for my friends wedding this Saturday. I will attempt some more tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Busy couple of days

Posted on: 11/08/2011 22:28:24 Quarantine this entry
Hi all, well it has been a bit manic here at home, yesterday my hubby and i, and our 3 children met up with our friends and their 2 children, we went to the cinema to see Smurfs, then to Aroma for lunch, and we ended the day with a trip to Holland Park, it was a wonderful day out, then today we had a large family day out, the 5 of us, my sister in law, my brother in law and his fiancee, along with her mum and 3 young siblings, we went to the Tropical Zoo in Syon Park, it was really fun, and everyone had a fantastic time, we got to look at, hold and touch a wide rang of tropical birds, animals, insects, amphibians and fish, and considering the prices of some of the attractions around it was reasonably priced at £24 for a family ticket 2 adults 3 kids and children under 3 were free, there was no time limit and they had feeding tours and detailed group information sessions where the lovely people who worked there told us all about the fab creatures that live there, the sessions were sort of show and tell, really interesting.
I have bearly had time for any crafting, but i did manage to squeeze in a little bit, and at some point i must finish my hubby's birthday card, as his birthday is this Saturday!.

Good for you Mandy, you look like such a cheerful person! I am just getting back into the site after a very long absence and it's all changed! I guess you would call crafting my replacement for kids, although I work with them :) Looking for new ideas and would like to make some real money from my hobby, instead of always spending it in craft shops!. Cards are cool...keep it crafty! Jools

Have your say
