Royal Wedding Card Making Competition

Posted on: 05/05/2011 11:03:37 Quarantine this entry

The lines are closed, your entries are in and we're having a tough time choosing the winner of our Royal Wedding card making competition! We've shortlisted 10 cards and contacted the talented crafters responsible. As the quality of the photographs in the Gallery vary, we want to ensure that we judge each of the shortlisted cards on an equal footing. We've asked those shortlisted to send their cards to docrafts HQ (with the promise of returning them, of course). The winner will be featured on docrafts.com and in a future issue of Creativity Magazine!

With Love

I love to look through the docrafts Gallery. It's all so inspiring. One of my current favourites from our team here at HQ is the ‘With Love’ card by Rebecca James. I think this pretty card would suit any occasion and I love the fact that when buying the Papermania Tweet stamp set you are also supporting the Craft For Life campaign for Cancer Research UK. £2 goes straight to the charity for every stamp set sold. Brilliant!

I have taken so many photographs of my two beautiful girls (Nevie-Rose 2 years and Myla 9 months) and I am so reluctant to just print them off and hide them away in a photo album gathering dust. I am setting myself a challenge to scrapbook them all and fill each page with journaling. I want to remember those special and silly words, moments, milestones and rhymes my toddler likes to sing (although most are made up and include a lot of ‘lalala’). I really want to sit with the girls and go through the albums, showing off my pages. Almost something special for them more than just a hidden album for my sake.

Feel free to post a link to your scrapbook pages here. I would also love to see pictures of your craft rooms and all your stash. I bet they are all so overwhelming and like an Aladdin’s cave ;-)

Love Emma

It's That Time Of Year!

Posted on: 08/04/2011 10:21:28 Quarantine this entry

If you’re like me, then April will mean (other than Easter and lots of chocolate, of course) a good clear out in the craft room at home and a good sort out of craft stash. My husband is always moaning that I have far too much but I don’t think he understands, actually he doesn’t understand that you NEED to have alphabet stickers in several colours and a variety of coloured ink pads, and different shaped card blanks, and different scissors and glue and… well you get the idea.

From midnight tonight (8th April) to midnight 22nd April the docrafts Team have given you a reason to shop! (Like you need an excuse, right?) So make a purchase over £25 in the Online Store and get reduced P&P if you're in the UK! £2.99 FOR NON-CLUB MEMBERS AND 99P FOR CLUB MEMBERS.

Either treat yourself or simply explain to hubby that you are on a diet so you don’t need chocolate and instead you will happily accept his credit card to purchase some beautiful craft goodies. I know what I will be doing ;-)

Happy shopping.

Love Emma

Our third award came in just a day or so ago. We received the 'Best Support & Services' award at the Craft Business Awards 2011!
