......found a branch of Slimming World that I can get to, that is!!!!  Joined up today.

Dunno why that one didn't come up the last time I searched, it isn't new, far from it.  I actually went on to the website to look at the online option (was put off by the £60 fee when I don't know if that way will suit me), and while I was there put in another search.  Strictly speaking it is 'out of town' but is actually not too far away - only 10 mins on bus.

So, let us now see what happens.  I do hope I can emulate those of you on here who are making great progress.

Good luck! I have just joined Weight Watchers, and am so glad to be part of a class again. I think it really helps with motivation.

I meant to reply to this thread sooner- joining SW has been the best thing I've done. I had lost 35 pounds just with Docraft dieters- I found an old weight chart recently, but I gradually piled it all again after our tragedy. SW has given me the motivation to try to lose all this weight once and for all, and ultimately, to keep it off.
it will be a long journey, but worth it for my health and appearance. Even losing 2 stone has made me feel so much better.

Enjoy!

Have been at slimming world since march last year and lost 3 st 10lb so far. Looking at the last stone now and am only just having to make a bit of an effort. My husband has lost 3 stone too and our whole family is a bit healthier now . I feel about 10 years younger and we won Couple of the Year a few weeks ago.

It is a great plan and many of my friends have started to join too.

Thanks Ann.

I'm starting to get into the habit and routine I think, still getting my head round syns and their role, but I'll get there.  Its really the motivation I need, knowing that someone else is seeing the scales!

I'm doing this alone, so I will probably continue to write things down for a bit longer just to keep up the momentum.  I know where I want to be, more or less, and I know it will probably take a while, I seem to be a slow sort of loser.

Well done on your Couple of the Year - does that put you in competition with Karen(Redrottie)?
