Hi Sall, Im planning a mini book at the moment. Gonna use either some Websters Pages papers or Graphic 45 Le Romantique papers, along with black and white lace, pearl gems and black crystals etc. Im hoping to go and stay with my sis for a crafting weekend soon as she wants to make one too.

Woah Jackie slow down...what is all those papers and things you mention? Not heard of any of them!

I'm making a reading record, just going to bind it. Oh and I'm going to finish my dominoes I think.

Sall, Jackie both your projects sound fab!!!!

I so wish I could get some stash out and have a little play, but it's all packed away now ready for the building work to start.

I do plan on making a few mini albums with loo rolls, and have watched lots of demos on you tube, they look great, and seem like an easy enough and quick project.

I would also like to make a few Christmas gifts, nothing too fancy, but have been recently blog hopping and came across some lovely ideas, mainly little sweety bags with lovely handmade toppers.

I was also thinking of making a few things to sell at Christmas craft fairs, but I honestly don't know if it's worth the effort or time.
Just not sure at the moment, and not sure if I will have the time to do them anyway.

On top of that I have sooooo many unfinished crafty projects I would love to get my teeth into, mainly finishing off some scrapbooks, when things have settled down, I'm really going to challenge myself to get move projects finished, before starting on anothe one, lol!

And.... on top of all of that, I plan to have a HUGE!!! crafty clear out, I've promised myself I must be more ruthless, not buy anymore crafty things on a whim, and get rid of all the things I simply never use.   Phew! I think I'm going to be kept busy for the next few months, lol!

Suzie can you not put a small tub together of things like a roll of DST, scissors a few papers, photos, ribbon etc for a set project and craft with just that?

I will have a nosey at you tube then Jackie, clearly I am missing otu on something

Thanks Jackie and Sall, glad you enjoyed making your loo roll project Jackie, it looks like a nice and simple thing to make, I may even get to complete this project, lol!

Sall, you're so good, I think I'm going to take a leaf out of your book, only buy something if I love it or need it, brilliant! I am defo going to do that from now on, plus I can't afford to buy any more stash anyway, the stash fund is well has well and truely dried up!

Thanks too for your advise on making things simple Sall when working on a project, yes you're right, just get a box and pop the things I need in there for that project, rather than getting the whole lot out. Thanks Sall :)

hehe I'm an organizational freak, literally so have about three of those clear 12x12 boxes made up with scrap projects right down to the embllishments and all I need is scissors and dst to go with it, I can take it anywhere or do it almost anywhere using the box as a desk. Today is my first day wiht having a desk so I kinda got used to finding ways around crafting without the essentials. As for buying it I am the worse shopper on the planet...won't buy anything if I can help it! Let me know how you get on

My only sulk with it is that the boxes cost £5 each but I've had years of use from them so it's more than worth it.

Your going to think I need psychicatric help when I tell you this but all my distress inks are labelled and inked to show the colour then stored in groups of similar colours

hi Sall, you are seriously organised, look forward to seeing your new projects if you upload them.

Susie, do hope you sell all your unwanted stash, have replied to your other thread, think blog selling is easier than ebay, but thats just my opinion.

Jackie, your project sounds lovely!

so far the most crafty thing I've done is add greetings to all the cards I made at the weekend. I am aiming to make an album for hubby's 50th, only got 2 weeks though before the big family meal, at least it will be started and hopefully finished in time for christmas, don't want to rush it. don't have any photos of him before we married as his parents destroyed them all, bizarre. so we have to start his life at 21 when we met, got loads of photos to choose from, will be fun to make. He's not into scrapbooking buthe does like what I make and I think he will be pleased. can't afford a big present, so by doing the album I can use up some of the stash which needs to stop being ignored, and get on and use it! hope you are all having alovely crafty day, hugs, fi x

I have real problems dealing with disorganisation so it's not all good but yes being organised does help. Everything being made is on my blog Fi.

Fi your scrap album sounds like perfect fun when will you start it?

Hi Sall and all,

I tried my hand at Brayering today (still dont think I'm spelling that correctly)

Really enjoyed it and now off to by roller and sponge stamps so that I have my own for future projects.

I use a friends who patiently showed me how to do it with stamps and ink, rollers, sponges etc to achieve a layered look.
I have posted my completed 2 pieces that I did today, would be nice to know what you think before I go buy the products though.

Happy crafting
Cherie
