I saw a programme on Create and Craft for jewellery making (I think it may have been Docraft products but not sure) and the lady was demonstrating a bracelet with knots and she used a cord, she did something like 6 knots and then pushed a bead up and did the same knot around the bead (hope this makes sense) she made it look so easy, I purchased one of these bracelets from QVC the other week with pearls and cost me £25.00 because I thought it was so different and complicated.  Now I want to have a go making one of these bracelets, can anybody point me in the right direction for this cord and beads.

Hi Ann,

You should be able to get the cords at pretty well any bead shop (like ours for example), and if they don't have the beads as well, then give Sassy a try at http://sassyuk.co.uk . (Sarah of SassyUK lives just down the road from us, and I'm sure she won't mind the free plug - she does nice stuff).

There are instructions of one of these by Debbie Kershaw in the docrafts projects if thats any help.  If you click on the kits on C & C sometimes there are video demos on there too (if they have any stock left!!!)

I tried one of these for the first time last night and ended up making two in no time.  Really pleased with the results.

I've just mde my first ones and although they are not the 'disco' beads, thhey have cost me about 40p each! - beads were from a necklace in a charity shop and cord from ebay! They took me about 15 mins to make one and once you get the hang of the knots, it is very easy. I think every one will be getting one fo xmas this year :)
