Has anybody got any tips for making the cutting plates for the bigshot last longer, mine are knackered now but I don't feel I have had a great deal of use out of them - so any tips for when I get new ones I would be grateful xx

I've had a Bigshot for at least 4/5 years and have only replaced my plates once - and managed to break one once, which |I didn't think was bad seeing how much I use it, perhaps newer plates aren't made as well?!!! happy crafting Pat x PatW

It depends on how you use them. If you turn the plates over after each use, it should prolong the life of the plates. However, if the plates are really bent don't turn them over, as they may snap. Also, try and alternate which plate the cutting side of the die is touching (which plate lines get left on after cutting), as this will mean the plates are weakened slower than if you always cut into one plate. Hope that helped!

Hi I only 'cut' into one of my plates, so always have them in the same order, however I do flip the cutting plate over each time i use it. I also keep my plates in my big shot under the roller.... not sure if others do, but I have had the same set of plates since Dec 2007 and not bent at all, and I would say I use them about 10-15 times a week Sam x
