Hi all.

I'm thinking of setting up a Blog and just wondered whether this is fairly easy to do? I'm not too bad with the old computer, but wondered whether anyone could point me in the right direction of any previous posts on this topic or any general information regarding handy hints and tips.

Apologies if this has been done before. Thanks for taking the time to read.

the blog i wrote (as mentioned above by kerry - cheers!) was written before blogger introduced the new interface so if some of it doesn't make sense, then you might want to revert to the old interface and then follow the directions.

to do that, look for the grey cog in a box top right on the dashboard and select old blogger interface.
you can always change back to the new interface at any time should you wish.

i always advise going to the very first post at the bottom and working forwards as i started with the basics and then moved onto titivating your blog!

let me know if something doesn't make sense and i'll try and help. i'll get back to you as soon as i can.

and remember you don't have to publish until you'r ready and you don't have to tell anyone the address tol you're happy with it either!

Several little snippets that might help.

Once you are on a blog account, you can create as many blogs as your like, hardest bit will be finding a name that hasn't been taken.  Why I mention this is, you might want to have a blog to ''play and mess around with''

Then basically look at the blog as two parts:

Posts:  The stuff you upload and your posts you write.  The gadgets you add.  These all remain static irrespective of any changes in templates & colourways.

Appearance:  What it looks like, at first just grab any template & colour scheme that takes your fancy, until you can settle for something permanent (... don't think permanent exists for crafters).  How ever many changes of templetes you try, colourways etc.  The posts remain static.

When you visit other peoples blogs, look out for the DESIGN type, links to where you can pick up extra templates.  But thats in the future.

Good luck & happy blogging.
  ps
oooppps  meanwhile ^^ see above someone else has been typing.

Thank you all for your help, it's really appreciated. I'm definately going to give it a go and useful to know that you don't have to "publish it" until it's ready. I'm so indecisive, so will probably take me ages!
