Step by Step

1

Cut down a white card to create 10.5cm square blank. Matt on top brown card (10cm square) and cream card (9.5cm square) leaving narrow borders.

2

Create the main design by stamping the elephant clear stamp on white cardstock. Add colour by using the watercolouring technique with Papermania markers. Soften the edges and create depth by inking round the edge on the panel with first Prussian Blue fluid chalk and then Creamy Brown fluid chalk. Layer on to a scalloped edged piece of dark blue textured card stock. Punch holes into the scallops using a cropadile before matting onto a final piece of brown card 6cm x 8.5cm. Attach to the left hand side of the card.

3

Punch a flower from white card stock and ink the edges as described in step 2. Attach first to dark blue textured cardstock and trim to leave a border. Repeat on top of brown cardstock. Attach velour number and letter for the greeting. Place as shown with 3d foam tape

4

Complete the project with a vertical line of velour hearts.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
