DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Trim one of the union jack papers in half and roll back the bottom corners a little. Glue at the bottom of a sheet of white 12x12 Core’dinations cardstock. Distress the edges with ink and misters.

2

Trim the red floral paper to measure 27cm wide. Tear the bottom edge so that it measure about 23cm tall. Ink the cut edges and glue centrally as shown, using 3D foam pads to lift the bottom edge to add some dimension.

3

Trim the text paper to measure 23x11cm. Ink the edges and glue towards the top as shown.

4

Arrange three photos across the page and tuck the scalloped designer die-cut behind at the top. Glue in place.

5

Peel up and apply the bunting cardstock sticker across the bottom of the photos.

6

Apply your title using the Pampered Pets and Birdsong Canvas alphabet stickers, following the lines of the bunting.

7

Lightly crumple the post box, telephone box and some of the accent cardstock stickers. Be careful not to get them stuck to themselves and then ink lightly with Creamy Brown fluid chalk ink. Arrange on the page as shown.

8

Trim the ‘airmail’ edging from the postage patterned paper sheet and apply lengths to the top right and below the bunting as shown.

9

Trim a 2.5cm strip of the postage paper and pleat in an irregular manner. Apply to the bottom right of the page along with some Anita’s Red spotty ribbon. Staple in place.

10

Finish with some stamped clock images using brown Ancient Page ink.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
