Step by Step

1

Trim pink Spring Chic paper to measure 27.5x27.5cm. Ink the edges and add a doodled border using a brown permanent pen. Glue centrally onto white Core’dinations.

2

Trim grey Core’dinations to measure 10x29.5cm. Emboss with the brick embossing folder and sand the raised edges to reveal the paler core shade. Glue towards the left hand side of the page.

3

Use the largest size of the Ornate Frame die to cut a frame from one of the paler green shades in the Michael Powell Designstax. Cut in half length ways and layer each section onto half of a sheet of the pink cardstock from the Designstax. Position as shown but don’t glue down yet!

4

Stamp the Secret Garden image and colour with the watercolour pencils. Cut out in an irregular shape and roughly ink the edges.

5

Arrange the stamped image along with a pair of photos along the centre of the page as shown. When you are happy glue these and the cardstock frame sections in place.

6

Use one of more generic text Urban stamps to randomly stamp across the page, overlapping some of the elements. Repeat with a Boofle background stamp.

7

Cut beading wire to measure about 40cm. Wrap the posy blooms around the wire to make a vine effect on the centre 25cm of wire. Shape into a gentle wave shape and make holes through the page through which you can pass the ends. Secure on the reverse of the page with some strong tape.

8

Stamp the bird image onto green gingham Spring chic paper and onto Michael Powell green cardstock. Cut out and position one at the base of the floral vine and one to the left of the stamped image. Add a couple more posy flowers, curling the stems around a narrow rod.

9

Add your title using Pampered Pets and Canvas alphabet stickers.

I adore crafts of all types but scrapbooking is my first love. It satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, and complements my love of photography perfectly!
