1
Take a brown recycled card blank (13.5cm x 13.5cm)
2
Score a line from the top right hand side to the bottom left hand side of the front of the card blank.
3
Fold along this line inwards toward the inside of the card.
4
Select a square of patterned paper from the A4 pack, dust around the edges with some brownish chalk as shown in the photo to give a ‘shabby chic’ look, and trim down to fit within a border to the inside of the card. Stick using double sided tape.
5
Cut 2 more triangles to fit the two sections of the front of the card, again with even borders to the edges, including the diagonal long edges. Again stick using double sided tape.
6
Pull the front of the card so that it sweeps across the inside. When happy with the position, draw a line in pencil to mark where to place a greeting or another feature, to form the ‘stop’ for the front part of the card to rest against.
7
Punch a hole in the tag and feature a length of brown string to decorate.
8
Mount the tag into position, using the line drawn earlier as a guide, using 3d foam pads.
9
Embellish as desired…I have used a ‘just for you’ greeting and some red ‘Dew drop’ shapes.
10
Now take another chunk of the second kraft card blank* and some more of the papers to build up a frame for a main image. I have used one from the pack, but you can use any of the matching ‘Wellington’ range.
11
I have popped a couple of holes out of the top left corner of this picture frame and added another length of string, just for fun!
12
Adhere your square masterpiece frame to the front of the card, but only stick down onto the lower triangle shape. You can stick this centrally, or offset as I have done.
13
Add a finishing touch or two…I have used some Papermania ‘Dew drops’ in red.
14
Try your ‘Tweasel’ card with all sorts of panels and shapes….the fun part of tweasels is that you can experiment with all sorts of shapes, angles and embellishments. Because only some of the top panel is stuck to the card, it gives you the opportunity to create all sorts of effects and shapes which can hang in mid-air!
15
Tweasels forever!!...I’m off to make another one!
