Step by Step

For the base of the box, score a sheet of Papermania 12x12” Acetate at 4” and 8” on all four sides, to give nine equal squares. Cut away each corner square to leave a cross shape. Punch holes 1cm in and 1” apart up the ‘sides’ of each outer square. Fold the side squares upwards so they form a box and tie them together by threading white Cousin Ribbon through the holes, finishing each with a tied bow. Cut a 10cm square of Boyensberry paper and adhere it to the inside bottom of the box.

Use the second largest spiro circle Xcut Nesting die on the centre of the square, form the inner box, glue the corners together and decorate the edges borders from the Papermania Happy Birthday To You Glitter Cardstock Stickers and die-cut tags.

For the lid of the box, cut an 8” square from Boyensberry paper, score 2” in from the edge on all four sides and edge with lace trim border punch. As before, cut the top and bottom score lines so they form tabs, fold the lid in to shape and glue together.

Edge the lid with cupcake pattern Papermania Little Cake Shoppe Ribbon, spotted lilac Anita’s Ribbon and a bow tied from purple Anita’s Organza Ribbon, centred with a pink Born To Shop Nostalgia Designer Epoxy Button.

Decorate the lid top with a panel of pink text pattern Happy Birthday To You Paper and adhere a large blue happy birthday Glitter Cardstock Sticker on the right-hand side. Use the heart wingz by Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Die on some boysenberry paper and fix to the left-hand corner of the sticker, adding three Large Paper Rose Buds to the centre and Glitter Cardstock Sticker bunting on the right. To finish, add a large pink and a small purple balloon Papermania Happy Birthday To You Domed Sticker.
