Step by Step

1

Cut 5 lengths of silver cord 90cm long. Take 1 length leave about 6cm from the end and thread on an olive bead, then thread the cord back through the bead to hold it in place. Leave a small distance and add a turquoise bead, blue bead, turquoise bead then back to an olive bead, threading on the same way as the first and leaving a gap of 1-2cms between. Work back from the olive bead, matching up the same colour beads as you go until you have 9 beads on this cord. Copy this sequence onto the second cord.

2

On the 3rd and 4th cord, begin with a blue bead, then thread on a turquoise bead, blue, olive, turquoise, blue then the centre olive bead. Work back the colour sequence to the other end of the cord. On the 5th cord, thread on 8 sets of 3 of the blue and turquoise small beads. Hold the 5 beaded strands together with some masking tape. Twist and weave the 5 strands together.

3

Use a crimp bead on each side to attach the clasp and some chain for extra length. Cut any excess beading wire after squeezing the crimp beads closed.

'do crafts' Member - I'm Ana and I'm from Chiclayo, Peru. I came here 5 months after marrying my husband Kevin. I've been card making for 4 years whilst I was still living in Peru and mainly made cards using vellum. When I came here I saw the huge variety of materials tha shops have for cardmaking. I love cardmaking because it's so relaxing and you can be as creative as you want.
