This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Take an Anita’s A6 card blank and using your X-Cut guillotine, cut one and three quarter inches off from the front right side of your card (opposite to the fold) as shown.

2

Cover the front of the card and cover the inside of the card using different co-ordinating papers from the Daisy & Dandelion Picnic Patch A5 paper collection.

3

Round all the corners using your X Cut corner rounder.

4

Stamp 3 identical images from the Daisy & Dandelion Bubbles & Squeak stamp set using a black ink pad and stamp onto white cardstock.

5

Colour in these 3 images using your Papermania strokes pens as a watercolour. (To do this scribble some of the ink onto acetate, dip a paintbrush into water and mix with the ink.) Paint the images and leave to dry.

6

Use the 3 images to make your own decoupage. Cut out the 1st image completely. The 2nd image placed on top is the whole image except the legs. Attach to the 1st image using Stick It silicone glue. The 3rd image is the arms and the flower cut from the image. Stick this on top of the 1st and 2nd. Use a bone folder to curl edges to add some dimension.

7

Place the decoupaged bear onto the front of the card.

8

Ink the flower from the top part of the stamp 4 times onto white card to create 4 flowers. Watercolour as in step 5. Cut out and attach to the right side of the card using Stick It silicone glue.

9

Using the Glitz It glitter glue, highlight areas of the backing paper and some of the spots on the flowers.

I have been crafting since the age of 8. I started off with cross-stitch at school and then started making gifts. For the past 10 years I have greatly enjoyed paper crafts and especially card making. I am thrilled to be a ‘do crafts’ Designer. I hope to see you at the next ‘do crafts’ event.
