1
Take six head pins. Thread a melon crystal and blue sodalite accent bead on two head pins. Repeat by threading two further headpins with a frosted Oval Crystal bead and blue sodalite round. On the final two headpins thread first a clear seed bead, then sodalite rectangle and finally another clear seed bead. Fashion a loop at the end of each.
2
Place a sodalite pillow with between two clear seed beads on each of two eyepins. Create a loop at the end of each.
3
Place a mirror faceted bead and sodalite small round bead on a further two eyepins and fashion loops.
4
Attach a jump ring to the loop on each of the two large plain circle toggle ends from the toggle starter pack. Attach the droppers with the frosted oval crystal.
5
Attach the headpins with the rectangular sodalite beads to the eyepins with the faceted mirror beads and blue round.
6
To make the final dropper cut a piece of silver wire from the papermania wire and bead pack, ensuring it is considerably longer than the length of the sodalite pendant. Wrap a loop at one end. Thread a small clear bead onto the wire, followed by the large pendant bead. Finally wrap a loop at the top of the pendant.
7
Cut a length of wire to make the centre section of the necklace with. Thread the end of the wire through one of the medium sized plain circle toggle ends, loop over and secure with a crimp bead.
8
Thread the beads and dropper on to the wire as follows:
Faceted Mirror bead – small blue round bead – sodalite pillow dropper – small round blue bead – faceted mirror bead – small round blue bead – frosty oval crystal on toggle dropper – small blue round bead – faceted mirror bead….
And continuing this pattern adding the droppers as shown.
9
Once the final faceted bead after the second sodalite pillow dropper has been threaded onto the wire add on a crimp bead, thread the wire through the loop on the second medium plain circle toggle and return through the crimp bead tightly. Squeeze the crimp bead using flat nosed pliers and trim off most of the excess wire. Ease the excess back through the last couple of beads to give a neat finish.
10
Make two smaller sections to attach to each end of the centre string. Cut a piece of beading wire and, as in step 7, secure one of the two small plain circle toggle ends with a crimp bead. Mirror the design of the centre section by threading on a silver mirror faceted bead, small blue round bead, a crystal melon dropper, round blue bead and finally another mirror faceted bead. Secure a t-bar toggle on the end by looping the wire and squeezing a crimp bead closed to hold in place.
11
Attach the centre piece to these two smaller sections using the toggle clasps attached.
12
Decide on the total length of your design. Cut two pieces of chain from the starter pack to extend the necklace to this length. Attach a t-bar side of the small toggle to one end of each chain using a jump ring.
13
Attach a jump ring to the other end of one of the lengths of chain and a trigger clasp to the opposite side. Attach these lengths of chain to the centre section, again using the toggle clasps.
14
You can now wear this necklace either at its longer length with all sections in place, or reduce the length by a few inches by removing the smaller sections created in step 10.
