DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Open an 8x8 template from the Docrafts Digi Designer and drag the yellow spot background from the Woodland Folk collection onto the workspace. Use the square punch in the digi-punch tool to crop it to the size and shape of the canvas.

2

Drag the beige dot paper from the Forever Friends Black and Gold onto the canvas and use the digi-punch tool to crop to a rectangle as shown.

3

Drag the woodgrain paper from the Woodland Folk disc to the canvas and use the scallop circle from the Die-Matt Punches section of the digi-punches tool to punch the shape.

4

Drag the daisy paper (012) from the Woodland Folk and friends collection to the canvas and punch a square with the digi punch tool.

5

Open your photo and resize to fit. Create a white rectangle slightly larger than the photo using the ‘shape’ tool and position behind the photo using the layers panel.

6

Drag the dotty wavy border from the Christmas Woodland Folk collection to the page. Drag the looped border from the Black and Gold disc on top.

7

Drag the butterfly and flower embellishment from the Woodland Folk disc to the right hand side. Resize to fit.

8

Click the text tool and type the first word of your title. Resize and change the font to suit. Repeat for the other words of your title. (If you keep each word separate you can move them around independently for a perfect arrangement.

9

Use the drop shadow tool to add a drop shadow to each of the paper layers in turn.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
