Step by Step

1

Cut the blue paper from the decoupage pack into 1.5, 2 and 1 inch strips. Glue to the Portobello News paper leaving a small gap between each one.

2

Cut a strip of red gingham paper and edge with the scallop punch. Ink and add to the layout. Trim with red gingham ribbon.

3

Mat photos on to red card and glue to layout

4

Ink a white tag with red ink. Cover the bottom section with red paper from the decoupage pack. Ink the edges with blue ink. Stamp the flourish from the ‘Great Big Hug’ stamps. Add some blooming button outline stickers before glue to the left of the layout at an angle.

5

Freehand cut a heart or use the xcut homespun dies, in white card. Put a strip of red paint on a non porous surface and dip a plastic card in. Transfer to the heart and stamp on it to give lines. Repeat to cover the heart as desired.

6

Leave paint to dry and then stamp the union jack stamp in the centre in blue ink. Adhere on left side of layout over lapping the tag and photo.

7

Stamp the Forever Friend hugging a heart onto a piece of Portabello Road News paper. Cut out. Stamp it again on white card in blue. Stamp the Union Jack flag over the heart and cut out. Attach the cut out heart with foam pads to the previous stamped image. Glue on left side of layout over the heart.

8

Stamp ‘Time for Tea’ on blue card stock and mat on red card stock. Glue to layout.

9

Place some large blooming button outline stickers on red card and cut out.

10

Ink and dot the edges of a die cut topper and place on the right side of the layout tucking a blooming button behind.

11

Add the rest of the blooming buttons to the layout.

12

Stamp a line of flourish along the bottom edges of the layout and embellish with red adhesive stones.

13

Cut two lines of flags from the paper in the decoupage pack and adhere to the layout along with the Forever Friend decoupage holding the bunting.

14

Embellish the bunting with ribbon bows.

15

Stamp a crown on the people in the layout and embellish with adhesive stones.

16

Add journaling on strips of white card.

I have always been 'crafty' and while sitting with my gran when I was younger I admired all she did and said to myself that I wanted to create things like her. I am just a girl who has been let loose with paper and scissors. Can I make a mess ... You sure bet I can! I am a freelance designer for docrafts and enjoy creating projects for the Creativity! Magazine, Creativity! Club TV and demos.
