DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Follow the template for a visual guide to creating this project.Cut a piece of the clear cord to measure approximately 60cm. Fold in half and thread on the fixed part of the lobster claw clasp so that it is in the centre of the cord.

2

Next thread one solid blue coloured bead onto one strand and two beads onto the other.

3

Thread two translucent beads onto one strand and one on the other. Thread the cord from the side with one translucent bead back through the second bead on the other strand, so that it forms a loop. Add a further translucent bead onto each strand.

4

Add one solid coloured bead onto one strand and two onto the other. Thread the strand from the side with one bead back through the second bead on the other strand.

5

Repeat until you nearly reach the end of the strand. You should appear to have a series of crosses of the different coloured beads.

6

To finish, end the strand as you pass back through a central bead. Add a jump ring and the other part of the lobster claw clasp.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
