Step by Step

1

Once your mum or dad have finished with an old empty plastic bottle, wash it out to make sure it’s clean, and dry. Top tip a few different sizes of bottles or containers are good.

2

Cut up strips of tissue paper and cover your bottles in different coloured tissue paper. Top tip, if the old bottle has a coloured label on it, you might want to cover that bottle in the same coloured tissue paper. You may have to repeat the layers so it fully covered.

3

Once that is dry it’s time to draw a face and some hair and some clothes onto your bottle. If the bottle has a lid shape, it’s a good idea to make this a hat.

4

When you’re happy with your drawing you can start painting!

5

And when it’s finally all dry stick on some googly eyes!

6

There you have it a homemade Plastic bottle buddy! Why not make lots of them to play with!

We are a team of enthusiastic people who aim to inspire you in all of your handmade and crafting projects!
