Step by Step

1

Crumple the edges of a sheet of 12x12 plain kraft cardstock. Flatten slightly and ink over with the creamy brown inkpad. Using a tissue rub some of the Chocolate Ancient Page ink over.

2

Use the text stamp to stamp off the edges using Chocolate Ancient Page. Stamp a border of the grasses image about a third of the way up the page.

3

Trim bunting Happy Birthday To You paper to measure 10.5cm wide. Ink all over with Creamy Brown ink. Stamp the butterfly image all over the paper with Creamy Brown.

4

Select some other images and stamp these to the edges of the paper using the Chocolate ink. Please the top and bottom of the paper and glue in place as shown.

5

Apply Creamy Brown ink all over the green dot paper from the Happy Birthday To You paper pack. Trim to measure 9x18cm and emboss using the Secret Garden embossing folder. Sand back the raised areas to reveal the white core of the paper. Tuck behind the first paper panel and glue in place. Doodle borders as shown.

6

Position your photo to the left of the page.

7

Knot some green organza ribbon and glue gun in place as shown, hiding the glue under the knot. Glue the free ends level with the right hand edge of the photo.

8

Wipe Creamy Brown and Chocolate inks over a scrap of kraft card and allow to dry briefly. Stamp the square clock/bird image over and cut out. Add a pierced border and layer onto a die-cut postage shape using the second largest nesting die. Add a white gel pen border. Position overlapping the bottom right of the photo.

9

Spell out your title using the canvas alphabet stickers at the top of the photo.

10

Stamp the bird image onto some more kraft card. Cut out and position to the bottom left of the photo.

11

Add journalling to scraps of cardstock and cut to rectangles. Tuck behind the top of the photo.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
