Step by Step
1
Take a piece of plain cream cardstock and randomly stamp over the top using brow, orange and yellow Colorbox Queues pigment inks. Using cotton wool, rub over the top of the inked area to blend the colours.
2
Cut two panels from this inked piece - 7 x 13cms and 7.5 x 10cms. Highlight the edges with brown fluid chalk and then layer the smaller panel on to pale blue cardstock and again on to cream cardstock.
3
Layer the larger inked piece on to pale blue card size 5.5 x 14cms and secure the two together at each end with pale blue brads.
4
Attach this to the centre of the A6 card blank and place a length of cream satin ribbon across the centre between the brads.
5
From the inked card, cut two squares measuring 2 x 2cms and cut these in half diagonally to form four triangles. Place one in each corner of the card front.
6
Using brown ink, stamp one large butterfly and four smaller butterflies on to cream card. Add colour with the water colour pencils then blend with a water brush.
7
Cut out the butterflies and attach to the card using adhesive foam squares, slightly curling the wings as you do so.
8
Draw antenna on to the smaller butterflies using a fine-tipped brush marker.
9
Add tiny adhesive mosaic squares to the antenna of the larger butterfly.
10
To complete the card, add a ‘Best Wishes’ gold outline sticker to the centre panel.
