DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Paint the wreath using the green paint - you may need a couple of coats. Don’t worry too much if you can see the brush strokes, this can look a bit like pine needles at a glance!

2

Using the glue gun (ask an adult to do this bit!) attach the end of a chenille stem on the reverse of the wreath. Wrap it around the wreath and secure on the reverse when you get to each stem. Repeat until you get back to the beginning of the wreath. Repeat with the other two colours so they seem to be intertwined.

3

Apply a blog of hot-glue at the bottom of the wreath. Add some red pom-poms and tuck some green feathers behind.

4

Apply a blob of glue on the reverse of the wreath at the top. Secure a loop of green fuzzy cord in the glue as a hanger.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
