DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut a rectangle out of a felt sheet (approx 12 x 20cm).

2

Create a hem (approx 1cm) along the left and right edges and tack with pins. Simply fold up the felt in half and stitch along each edge or alternatively use a glue gun.

3

Make a row of small slits in the felt bag, approx 4cm from the top edge and make sure you go through both sides.

4

Weave a strip of ribbon through the holes. When the ribbon ends meet, tighten and pinch the bag and knot the ribbon. I have cut into the ribbon ends for added detail.

5

Decorate the pouch with funky foam shapes.

At Middlesex University, I did a BA Hons degree in Illustration before heading home to Dorset where I joined docrafts in the Creative department. I now enjoy creating craft projects and designing new products.
