DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Ink up the Whispers autumn tree stamp with Ink it Up! copper pigment ink and stamp onto cream paper.

2

Generously sprinkle Heat it Up! copper embossing powder over the design and tap off the excess. Use the Heat it Up! heat tool to melt the embossing powder (see top tips for more information). Leave the design to cool.

3

Align the smallest Whispers clear Layering Template over the embossed design and press down firmly onto a flat surface. Carefully tear the cream paper around the template so that you are left with a torn edged rectangle containing the design.

4

Tap the pigment pad directly onto cream paper to form a solid block of colour. Sprinkle over powder and emboss. Leave to cool. Place the second from smallest Whispers rectangular template over the embossed copper paper, firmly press and tear around the template to create a jagged edged copper shape.

5

Use the largest Whispers template in the pack to tear a rectangle from cranberry coloured paper.

6

Use the remaining template to trace and cut a rectangle from black paper using normal scissors.

7

Assemble all the rectangles onto a cream Anita's card for a rich and expensive looking card!

I have been with docrafts for over ten years and in that time, have tried many new crafts. I have been involved with the docrafts Creativity! magazine since its launch in 2003 and now work with some wonderful designers as the magazine editor.
