DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Stamp the owl, badger and tree onto white cardstock and trim. Colour the owl and badger with Zig art and graphic twin pens and a waterbrush using the watercolour technique. Stamp the tree top and trunk onto patterned paper using ancient page coal black ink and cut out. Paper piece the tree with the patterned paper elements. Put to one side.

2

Trim blue patterned paper to measure 9cm square, and mat onto brown cardstock. Use a piercing tool to prick holes around the border. Fix the tree and badger to the square as shown, attaching the owl with a mini spring. Stamp the greeting as shown, and cut a length of grass from green paper from the paper pack and attach to the bottom of the scene with 3D foam pads.

3

Cut mushroom patterned paper to measure 13cm square and ink the edges with chestnut ink. Fix to the front of a square card blank. Trim patterned paper to 10cm square and mount onto brown cardstock. Fix to the centre of the card. Take red stitched ribbon and apply to the front of the card as shown, tying a knot to the left hand side using a short length of green and red ribbon.

4

Fix the image panel to the centre of the card using 3D foam pads to finish.
