Step by Step

1

To create the box, Cut out two hearts in brown cardstock from the largest shape die. Fold in half. Open back out and fold the top section down. Crease and fold from the outside of the top section to the bottom point.

2

Cut the sides from one heart, then glue the two hearts together using the tabs on the other heart.

3

Glue the top flaps to the inside of the box.

4

To create the eyes, Punch a circle from the 5/8 inch circle punch in brown cardstock. Cut in half.

5

Cut two mini circles from white and black card. Punch out a tiny circle from towards the bottom of the white circles with the extension punch.

6

Stick the white circle over the white circle, then glue the half brown circle over the top. Go around the eyes with the green marker. Glue the eyes in place on the front of the box. Use a red ink to add blush to the cheeks just underneath the eyes. Finish with white gel pen dots.

7

Cut two small oval shapes to create the ears. Use red ink to add a highlight to the inside of the ear. Fold the bottom in half and glue together. Attach these to the sides of the box near the front. Shape the top of the ears to bend outwards.

8

Cut out two brown swirls to use as antlers, and attach to the box front. Make some hair by cutting randomly into a piece of dark coloured cardstock and stick to the top of the front section of the box over the antlers. Trim the edges to fit perfectly.

9

Punch a 1” circle from red glitter paper and stick to the point of the box to create the nose. Add ribbon for a hanger if required.

Hi. I'm Jo and I'm delighted to be a designer for 'do crafts'. I have been crafting for many years, my interest starting with cross stitch and continuing onto card making around 5 years ago, recently being able to have some work published and winning competitions. I started with the shoebox of goodies like everyone does, and this has gradually taken over my house. I love card making and scrapbooking and can't wait to give you all an insight into crafting.
