DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Take a blank white card, cut two triangles from coordinating papers 5cm tall by 3,1/12cm wide & ink edges with red ink, & two small bits of black card 2,1/2cm x 1cm stuck to bottoms to look like trunks, & stick at each side of card, one slightly higher than the other as shown.

2

Now cut another triangle of coordinating paper backed with scrap of card for sturdiness, 5cm wide by 8cm tall, Ink the edge of tree with red ink & again stick a small black card piece for trunk 2,1/2cm x 2cm, to bottom, & fix to centre of card with 3D foam pads as shown.

3

Now cut “Merry Christmas” from the script design paper & matt onto red card, then stick approx 3cm up from bottom of card as shown.

4

With black ink stamp the floral design stamp on each corner, carefully positioning so as not to cover any words or trees.

5

Now ink all sides of card with red ink, & using glue pen decorate trees with zig zag designs & stars at tops of trees, & line at top & bottom of message as shown then sprinkle with fine glitter to finish.

Hi I’m Mandy & a craft obsessive. This sad plight has lead me to dedicate much spare time to the pursuit of the ‘perfect card’. Anyway, back on track… I have been a ‘do crafts’ designer for a few years now & love to show everyone how fantastic all our products are, I look forward to seeing you at your local ‘do crafts’ event soon. Happy Crafting
