DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Spritz and spatter some paint over a sheet of 12x12 cardstock to make your background.

2

Trim beige dot paper to measure 17x17cm and ink the edges. Glue above and to the left of centre.

3

Trim chick and duckling paper to measure 9cm tall and tear the right hand edge to measure approximately 17cm wide. Ink the cut edges and overlap to the right hand side

4

Take two photos and arrange next to one another across the centre of the page.

5

Punch a border using the Flower Doily punch from the pink stripe paper and layer behind the blue dot cardstock sticker border. Tuck under the bottom edge of the photos.

6

Staple a length of the yellow glitter satin ribbon over the edge of the photos.

7

Stamp the tree images onto white card and then onto the green floral and the green stripe paper. Trim the top section of the trees on the patterned paper and paper-piece over the stamped trees on the white cardstock. Cut out and arrange together at the bottom of right of the photos along with the duckling cardstock sticker and a narrow green paper strip to represent grass.

8

Stamp 5 of the bunting borders onto white cardstock. Stamp again onto a selection of the Forever Friends Springtime patterned papers. Cut out the section of the bunting without stamped pattern from the patterned paper bunting sections and paper-piece over the bunting stamped onto the white cardstock. Cut out the bunting and arrange across the page, securing with 3D foam pads. Add a mini cardstock sticker over the joins in the sections.

9

Arrange the large Forever Friends bear with the Easter eggs, plus some additional Easter egg cardstock stickers to the top left of the page just above the bunting.

10

Ink the edges of the page to finish.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
