Step by Step

1

Take a 7x5 card blank and fold the front and back of the card to the spine. Accordian fold to make a ‘M’ shape.

2

Trim 2 pieces of gold Mirri card to measure 17cm by 5.5cm. Trim 2 pieces of the green Enchanted Christmas paper to measure16.5cm by 5cm. Round the top corners and glue on top of the Mirri card. Mount these panels on the forward facing sides of the ‘M’.

3

Trim a second 7x5 card in half to make a tent fold card measuring 3.5x2.5” (approximately 9cm by 12.75cm). Cover the front of the card with gold Mirri card.

4

Assemble the fairy decoupage using 3D foam pads between the layers and add to the front of the card.

5

Glue this panel to the ‘m’ shape (refer to the photo for guidance) adding some ribbon bows and an outline sticker greeting to finish.

I never would have believed that when I was 9, cutting shapes out of coloured paper to make Christmas cards, I would be a designer for a Company such as ‘do crafts’. It just proves how popular the craft industry continues to be. It’s the new gadgets; the ever-changing designs & most importantly the creative ideas that have helped keep the industry alive. It’s a real a buzz to be able to show somebody something they’ve never seen before & give them inspiration.
