Step by Step
1
TIP Photocopy templates before using.
2
Place the main crown template along an edge of the 12" x 18" white foam. Draw around using a marker pen. Remove template and carefully cut out.
3
Repeat using the 12" x 18" pink foam.
4
Create one hole in the centre of each of the tabs on both the pink and white shape. Try to align up the holes so that when the shapes are placed together, the holes align. Use a hole punch or pencil.
5
Glue the 2 shapes together - this will give the crown strength and stop it from 'flopping'.
6
Cut out 2 of the long thin rectangles from the purple foam and glue along the centre of the crown.
7
Cut out 10 small hearts and the two larger hearts from fuchsia coloured foam.
8
Fold a piece of scrap paper in half and then open out. Place the hearts onto this paper. Use the Anita's Tacky Glue fine tip to 'draw' shapes such as hearts or circles into the centre of each foam heart. Whilst the glue is still wet, sprinkle pink glitter over the glue and tap off the excess on the scrap paper (the excess glitter can now be poured back into the pot). Leave to dry.
9
Glue the 2 large hearts into the centre section of the crown overlapping the purple band and glue one small heart into each of the crown's 'turrets'.
10
Add the flower shaped sequins to the top part of each turret.
11
Cut out 10 squares from blue foam and glue along the purple band. Glue a flower sequin int the centre of each square.
12
Using the Anita's Glue, 'draw' a squiggly line along either side of the purple band and sprinkle on glitter. Tap off excess onto the folded piece of paper.
13
Leave crown flat until glue has completely dried. Thread the ribbon through the holes of the crown to finish.
