Step by Step

1

Cut a tag from White smooth card 6 ¼ by 3 ¼ inches. Cut the top corners off to create a tag shape.

2

Scribble Kuretake art and graphic pens randomly on a non porous surface such as a glass mat or larger tile and mist with water. Dip the tag into the watered down inks and re apply until you are happy with the resulting background colours. Leave to dry or, for speed, dry with a heat gun.

3

Mop up the remaining ink with a piece of background paper measuring 12cm by 17cm. Use this to cover the card blank later. Also cover a piece of card measuring 4cm by 2.5cm for your greeting.

4

Stamp a subtle background onto the tag using the small mystical symbols stamp from the Midnight Fairytale clear stamp pack and charcoal fluid chalk.

5

Punch a border along the base of the tag and then use the charcoal ink to deepen the colour of the tag’s edges.

6

Highlight the stamped mystical images and the punched border using a snow white Papermania gel pen.

8

Tear a piece of Midnight Fairytale vellum to measure about 7cm by 11cm. Distress and roll some of the edges

9

Use a jump ring to attach a jewelled charm to the bottom of a mini safety pin embellishment. Secure through the top left corner of the vellum. Glue the vellum towards the right of the tag.

10

Add the fairy topper image to the right of the tag using silicone glue.

11

Glue the fancy toggle clasp under the edge of the vellum panel using silicone glue or a glue gun for speed!

12

Attach the large key-charm to the fancy bale using a jump ring. Glue inside the loop section of the toggle clasp as shown.

13

Glue three flowers from the embellishment set to the bottom left of the fairy and glue a pearl in the centre of each. Add a flower charm to the bottom right.

14

Stamp your greeting on to the small inked piece from step 3. Cut to an irregular shape and ink the edges. Stick at the top of the tag.

15

Cut and distress some more ribbon and fold in half. Glue at the top of the tag and glue a spacer bar on top.

Glue the pre-inked backing paper onto a 7x5 Kraft card and mount the tag centrally and at an angle.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
