Step by Step

1

Using the template cut out 2 bodies in turquoise felt, the tummy in pink and eyes in pink and lime green.

2

Randomly attach a selection of embroidered Born to Shop and Capsule Collection brads to the pink tummy . Snip tiny slits to make it easier to feed the stems of the brad through the felt. (please note that due to the brads, this project is not suitable for children).

3

Attach ribbon in stripes across the centre of the main body before sewing the decorated pink circle over the top.

4

Add the eyes to the design, layering the green over the pink. Sew a crystal button to add a sparkling glint to them.

5

Thread graduated neon pom poms onto a length of embroidery thread to make the tail.

6

With the decorated body inside out, stitch the two halves of the cat together, capturing the tail towards the base of the body by sewing between two of the pom poms. Leave a small section unsewn.

7

Turn the cat right way out through the unsewn section.

8

Stuff before closing the hole using small over sew stitches.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
