Step by Step

1

Take the mini circle aperture card and before assembling, cover the front square panel only with Bare basics Kraft Gift wrap and cut out the aperture.

2

Repeat this process using the Classic Christmas Text patterned paper this time leaving a narrow edge of the Kraft paper visible all around the edge. Cut out the aperture and then highlight the edge of the circle with red fluid chalk.

3

Assemble the box card together using Tacky glue and leave to dry.

4

Using Green textured card, punch eight holly sprigs and glue the ends in to the base of the aperture spacing them evenly around the outer edge of the circle.

5

From Red textured card, punch three hydrangeas, three large ‘florals’ and one ‘flower’.

6

From White textured card, punch one hydrangea, one large ‘floral’ and three ‘flowers’.

7

From Bare Basics Kraft paper, punch fifteen large flower heads for the fir cones.

8

Using the large round ended Petal elegance shaping tool, hold it upright on the outer edge of the flower and gradually press down and rotate the tool in a clockwise direction over the whole flower applying pressure and keeping the tool upright all the time. Whilst rotating, gradually work your way in to the centre of the flower and you will notice that the flower starts to cup. Take your embossing stylus and rotate this in the centre of the flower to form a tighter cup.

9

Repeat this process with each punched flower including the flowers to be used for the fir cones.

10

Take four of the punched flower heads and snip between each petal in to the centre of the flower so that the petals will overlap.

11

Glue the flowers together in groups of three using alternate reds and whites. Place a mini foam dot in the centre of each flower and sprinkle with glitter.

12

To make up the fir cones, place four of the Kraft paper flowers together with a mini foam dot in between each. For the top of the cone, snip between two of the petals of the fifth flower and then roll up the flower and glue in place in the centre of the cone. Repeat with the other cones. Gently bend some of the petals outwards to resemble the curved edges of a cone.

13

Attach all the flowers and the cones in to the centre of the aperture using foam dots, then add red adhesive stones to the centre of each holly sprig.

14

Finally, sprinkle with white holographic glitter to add some sparkle.

Hello, my name is Sheila and I am thrilled to be a ‘do crafts’ designer. I have been a keen crafter since childhood and now make my living from it. I demonstrate for docrafts and run my own craft groups and classes. I've have been making cards for approximately ten years and enjoy all aspects of creating and papercrafting. I like to spend lots of my time developing ideas and learning new techniques. Hopefully I will be able to share these with you and give you some inspiration when demonstrating all the wonderful products on offer
