DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Distress three edges (left, top and bottom) of the A4 paper from the At Christmas Time paper pack. Glue to the right hand side of the Papermania 12x12 cardstock. Tear the right hand edge of the spot paper to measure about 10-12cm wide. Distress the three cut edges and glue to the left hand side.

2

Run double sided tape across the page and apply a length of lace ribbon at the bottom of the page. Apply more tape above and begin pinching together sections of the lace, gathering it up and pressing it down into the tape. Stitch mini buttons in between to secure the frills. Tuck the ends behind the dotty paper.

3

Apply a length of green ribbon across the page above with the cardstock border sticker above.

4

Run more double sided tape across the page above the border sticker and pinch and press the plaid ribbon in place. Stitch in place every couple of cm to secure. Add another cardstock sticker border above.

5

Position a photo as shown and tuck behind a scrap of lace, a short border punched length of coordinating paper and a postage die-cut image.

6

Add a short length of plaid ribbon from the left hand edge of the page and some clustered cardstock stickers.

7

Use the wax seal kit to make a ‘seal’ impression directly onto your page and overlapping your photo.

8

Die cut a frame from silver Angel hair and tuck the centre ‘waste’ section behind the photo corner as shown. Position the frame to the top left and add a ribbon ‘hanger’ behind to resemble a picture. Clusters border punched scraps, cardstock stickers and die-cuts.

9

Use the Papermania Capsule alphabet stickers to spell out your title to the right had side, above the borders.
