Step by Step

1

Take a white 5x7” Papermania Scalloped Card Blank and cut a panel of red Papermania Cardstock to fit behind the card front, so that it highlights the scallops. Glue in place.

2

Cut a piece of 11x17cm red cardstock and adhere to the card front. Mount a 9x15cm piece of white cardstock to a layer of blue cardstock. Trim to leave a 2mm border. Glue in place.

3

Cut out a cloud shape from paper, dab a tissue into dye ink and pull over the edges to create clouds.

4

Attach a 15cm piece of torn paper to the bottom of card.

5

Create the five petals of the orange flower by quilling a strip of orange to size 2 and pressing into a marquise. Create the top by quilling a very loose yellow circle. Slot in small coils of black into each layer. Glue together.

6

Follow the steps in the magazine to make the red flower.

7

To create the blue daisy, Make a tight coil of yellow paper. Cut blue paper to 2cm x 10cm. Fold in half lengthways and fringe at an angle. Roll tightly around the yellow coil and glue.

8

Add some small quilled leaves to flat paper stalks (glued on edge) and dot some buttons around the card to finish.

Hi. I'm Jo and I'm delighted to be a designer for 'do crafts'. I have been crafting for many years, my interest starting with cross stitch and continuing onto card making around 5 years ago, recently being able to have some work published and winning competitions. I started with the shoebox of goodies like everyone does, and this has gradually taken over my house. I love card making and scrapbooking and can't wait to give you all an insight into crafting.
