Step by Step
1
Cut a strip of cream card 12.5cm by 27cm. Score 4.5cm and 9cm from edge short edge. For each side fold the 9cm in score line toward the back of the card and the 4.5cm score line back to wards the edge on the card. This creates your card blank which will fold flat.
2
Cut a piece of latte coloured card stock 8cm by 11.5cm. Using the circle punch cut out the corners as shown. Stamp the image on to this panel using Chocolate Ancient Page ink.
3
Use Vivid inks as water colours to colour the design. Apply colours to an acrylic block direct from the pad and dilute with water to achieve tones of colour. When watercolouring add the lightest shade first and gradually add darker shades.
4
Once complete highlight image with a white gel pen. Draw a fine line to frame around the edge of the panel from step 3 using a dark brown marker pen. Ink around the edges with creamy brown fluid chalk from the Chocolate and Blueberries queue to softly age.
5
Trim four pieces of Burgundy card stock – one sized 8.5cm x 12 cm and two sized 4cm by 12cm. Sand the edges of the larger piece. Attach the painted panel to the front using 3d foam and add dark brads to each corner. Attach to the front of the card blank.
6
Emboss the two smaller pieces of burgundy pieces of card using the Tim Holtz checkerboard folder. Sand to further reveal the core colour.
7
Attach a piece to each small side panel of the card blank.
8
To create the sentiment die cut three tickets from Cream and sugar co-ordinations using the Tim Holtz die. Rip them apart for a more realistic look. Sand to age, age with fluid chalks and draw a fine line border round each. Write “ADMIT ONE” to the left side of two and the right side of one (this will be the middle ticket embellishment.)
9
Add your chosen sentiment, splitting it between the three tickets. Roughen the bright gold effect of the outline stickers by lightly sanding. Attach to the right hand smaller panel as shown, using 3d foam.
10
Finish by adding a small strip of Coredinations cardstock to the left panel after inking and adding brads as shown.
