This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cover the front of the card with red and white dotty papers and place a length of ric-rac along the join where the papers meet. On the inside of the card, cover with pink heart paper.

2

On the inner pop-up section, cover with red and white heart paper. The best way to do this is to align two A5 matching sheets of patterned paper together. Fold the inner section of the card in half and trace around the outline on the left side of the paper, then turn over the card onto the right side of the paper and draw around the other half, so you should have drawn a heart within a rectangle of patterned paper. Cut out to create an aperture and glue to the inner section of the card.

3

Repeat the ‘template’ process onto red patterned heart paper to create a heart the correct size to glue to the pop-up heart.

4

Attach two lengths of ric-rac across the top and bottom inner section of the card and wrap around the edges and secure on the reverse. Stick both the inside and outside sections of the card together.

5

To decorate, apply ‘Love’ coloured stickers to white card, cut out leaving a white border showing and attach across the pop-up heart with foam squares. Repeat the same process for the Forever Friends ‘I’ and ‘U’ and attach either side of the heart with more foam squares. Decorate around the edge of the heart with red adhesive gem stones and three in a row to the top left and top right of the card just below the ribbon.

6

Apply two large and four smaller Forever Friends bear coloured stickers to more white card, cut out and position as shown across the bottom of the card. Add an adhesive red heart gem to the heart postage stamp on the largest bear’s envelope.

7

To continue decorating the front of the card, assemble the Forever Friends bears decoupage following the number order as stated on the decoupage sheet. Mat onto red heart paper with foam dots and layer this onto the card with more foam dots.

8

Position ‘Be My Valentine’ die-cut greeting to the bottom right and decorate either side of the greeting, the corners of the decoupage and three gemstones in a row below the decoupage.

9

(Optional) Ink the edges of the card (inside and out and around the pop-up heart) with creamy brown chalk ink. Apply Anita’s clear gloss to the umbrella of the assembled decoupage and leave to dry. Thus, creating a shiny wet look.
