Step by Step

1

Using the Papermania chequerboard embossing folder emboss the front of a square white card blank. You will need to do this is two steps, lining up the long edge with the spine of the card in the first pass through the die cutting system. Then move the folder down to line up with the base of the first embossed section and run through again.

2

Blend Artiste Chocolate ink round the perimeter of the card. Swipe Ink It Up gold pigment ink round the edges, sprinkle Papermania Gold Embossing Powder on top and heat emboss.

3

Cut a piece of corrugated card from a packaging box to 12cm square. Tear back one of the surfaces to reveal the texture beneath and heat emboss the edges with gold as before. To get a full molten gold puddle effect between the ripples pour in small amounts of powder and heat from below to prevent the powder from blowing away.

4

Trim peach and gold Vintage Notes doily paper to 11cm square and scrape the edges with a craft knife to roughen. Blend brown ink round the edge before adhering to the centre of the corrugated card. Curl the top left and bottom right corners

5

Cut a section of Vintage Notes “Rose Bud” Self Adhesive fabric paper 5x12cm in size. As before add a gold heat embossed edge just as you would with paper. Attach to the card panel just below centre.

6

Wrap a Vintage Notes thick lace border, fabric tape and bakers twine round the fabric paper. Secure firmly on the reverse of the card, before attaching to the centre of the card blank.

7

Stamp the Vintage Notes Heart onto white card using Artiste Pink Pigment Ink. Heat emboss using Papermania Holographic embossing powder.

8

Line up the Vintage Notes filigree heart die over the stamped image and use Stick IT masking tape to hold the die in place on the card whilst passing it through a die cutting system. Blend chocolate ink round the edges and attach to the right of the fabric paper and lace border.

9

Arrange a Decoupage Medley branch so that it emerges from underneath the top of the heart.

10

Layer up Vintage Notes crochet flowers, decorative pins, big elements, buttons and a Papermania white rose as the picture shows – distress and heat emboss as required.

11

Tuck a distressed Vintage Notes sentiment under the crochet flower and embellish with a button and pale blue gem.

12

Complete the design with a trio of small hearts from the Big Elements pack in the top left corner.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
