Step by Step

1

On white card, draw around something round, like a roll of sticky tape, to make a circle. Cut this out, this will be your pencil top.

2

Cut a slit into the round paper circle to the middle, this will help you to be able to twist the paper into a cone shape. Make it fit the top of the cardboard tube and stick it togther. Next sticky tape the tube and the cone together.

3

Now cover the tube and top with strips of tissue paper, its easier to mix some glue and a little bit of water together to help layer on the tissue paper. Use a white or yellow for the top and a bright colour for the pencil.

4

Once dry, add some detail with a black pen.

5

For the end of the pencil draw round the bottom of the tube on to some sponge, and cut out the sponge circle shape. This will be the stopper on the bottom of the pencil.

We are a team of enthusiastic people who aim to inspire you in all of your handmade and crafting projects!
