DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut a piece of black card to the same size as the front of a pink pearlised card blank and glue into place.

2

Cut three 1.2cm x 8cm pieces of pink floral background paper and glue into place on the card, leaving enough space between for the holographic embossed strips.

3

Rub a clear pigment ink pad over white card and emboss using holographic embossing powder and the heat tool, taking care not to overheat the powder! When cooled, cut pieces from this measuring 1.2cm x 8cm and 0.8cm x 8cm. Glue these centrally between the floral strips.

4

Apply two large coloured floral round stickers to more floral pink background paper and cut out with scissors. Attach to the card, overlapping the coloured strips, where shown, using sticky foam squares. Repeat again, this time using a small floral round sticker onto holographic embossed card. Again cut out and attach with a sticky foam square.

5

For the greeting, apply three clear ‘good luck’ stickers to pink floral background paper. Cut around the edges and attach to the card using sticky foam squares.

6

Complete the card by adding two extra tiny round floral coloured stickers to the floral pink background paper strips, where shown.

At Middlesex University, I did a BA Hons degree in Illustration before heading home to Dorset where I joined docrafts in the Creative department. I now enjoy creating craft projects and designing new products.
