DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cover the front of an A6 card with the red gingham paper and round the two outer corners with a corner rounder.

2

Take the blue, shaped designer die cut and glue to the front of the card with the straight edge lined up with the spine of the card.

3

Trim a strip of the blue spot paper and apply vertically as shown. Add doodling to either side onto the designer die-cut using a white gel pen.

4

Die cut two sizes of the scalloped bunting using the cream print and red floral paper. Add some doodling and layer together. Add to the card as shown.

5

Wrap red ribbon vertically around the card to be the stem of the flag and add a bow below the bunting shapes.

6

Add a few of the union jack buttons at the top and some of the cardstock stickers to the bottom of the flag.

7

Stamp the Happy Birthday greeting to the centre of the flag and accent to stickers with red gems.

I have always been 'crafty' and while sitting with my gran when I was younger I admired all she did and said to myself that I wanted to create things like her. I am just a girl who has been let loose with paper and scissors. Can I make a mess ... You sure bet I can! I am a freelance designer for docrafts and enjoy creating projects for the Creativity! Magazine, Creativity! Club TV and demos.
