Step by Step

1

Take a 5” x 7” cream card blank and with the fold at the top, place a 18 x 11cm piece of Birdsong patterned paper across the centre leaving a visible edge of cream above and below. Trim off the excess.

2

Place gold swirly borders (from two outline sticker sheets) along the top and bottom of the green paper.

3

Cut a 9 x 18cm piece of cream card and punch one long edge using the Xcut Scallop border punch. Repeat using a piece of 9.5 x 18cm piece of turquoise textured card.

4

Tape the two pieces together so that the turquoise edges show.

5

Glue this on to the card front.

6

Place a mixture of fashion outline stickers on to small pieces of Birdsong patterned papers and cut around them.

7

Glue some of them flat on to the cream scalloped rectangle and place the others on to foam pads to give a dimensional look. Add turquoise shimmer dots to the bags and hat.

8

Tie a length of cream organza ribbon around the top section of the cream card and tie in a bow on the left hand side. Glue the bow down to secure in place.

9

Add ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Sister’ above the bags and accessories to complete the look.

Hello, my name is Sheila and I am thrilled to be a ‘do crafts’ designer. I have been a keen crafter since childhood and now make my living from it. I demonstrate for docrafts and run my own craft groups and classes. I've have been making cards for approximately ten years and enjoy all aspects of creating and papercrafting. I like to spend lots of my time developing ideas and learning new techniques. Hopefully I will be able to share these with you and give you some inspiration when demonstrating all the wonderful products on offer
