Step by Step

1

Trim two pieces of white cardstock to measure 11 x 5 inches (28 x 13 cm), and another piece of white cardstock to measure 9 x 5 inches (13 x 23 cm). The longer lengths of cardstock will become the front and back panels and the shorter length will be the middle.

2

Score the shorter middle panel at 1 inches at either end (therefore score at 1 inch and 8 inches along the 9 inch length). Take the front and back panels (the longer lengths) and score at 2 inches from either end along the 11 inch length (therefore score at 2 inches and 9 inches on each panel). Put the front and middle panels to one side. Trim patterned paper to measure the area between the score lines on the back panel, and crease on the score lines inwards towards the paper. Put to one side.

3

Take the front panel, and cover the middle panel and the two smaller side panels with patterned paper. Fix a ribbon with a bow to the patterned paper, before fixing down onto the panel. Crease on the score lines away from the patterned paper. Cover the centre panel with patterned paper as shown , also creasing away from the paper

4

Using the largest nesting label die, place towards the top of the front panel. Cut out using the epic 6 machine. (As you have stuck down the patterned paper, this will cut out both sheets at the same time. Lay the front panel to the middle panel and place the next size down nesting label within the front panel. Remove the front panel and cut out. You will now have two apertures that nest perfectly. Put all the panels to one side.

5

Cut out the champagne glasses, champagne bottle and an 8cm circle from paper and cardstock as shown. The label from the bottle and champagne in the glasses is cut from Voile shimmer paper. Score the mirri card with an embossing stylus to create a foil effect for the top of the bottle. Use wire around the neck of the bottle or a realistic look. Ink the edges of the die cut shapes before fixing together. Use number rub ons and hand draw on the hands to create the clock, using glitter letters to spell Happy New Year.

6

Lay the three panels over one another to work out where to fix the elements. Stick down as shown. Draw a border around the apertures, using the nesting label dies as a template.

7

To fix your diorama card together, take the back panel flaps and stick the middle panel flaps , making sure the middle flaps are within the back panel. Stick the front panel flaps over the back panel flaps, making sure the front panel flaps are on the outside. Finally, add shimmer dots to the front panel near the glasses to finish.
