DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Trim spotty Portobello Road paper to measure 27.5x27.5cm. Ink the edges with white ink and glue centrally onto lined kraft card. Pierce a row of holes about 1cm in from the edge of the paper and stitch with white embroidery floss.

2

Tear the red flower paper to measure about 24x24cm and ink with the Creamy Brown ink. Glue centrally.

3

Cut a 21.5x18.5cm frame measuring 1.5cm thick. Shape the frame to make it slightly 3D and ink the edges. Adhere centrally using 3D foam pads. Position two photos centrally in the frame.

4

Apply cream wide satin ribbon, and crown ribbon across the bottom part of the photos and glue in place.

5

Add a very narrow strip of the red floral paper below the crown ribbon.

6

Apply the bunting cardstock sticker across the top of the photos and add a silver gemstone between the sections and at either end.

7

Ink and layer up some Burleigh Blue Big Bloomers to the bottom left of the page.

8

Punch some circles using the 1.5” circle punch. Ink the edges and glue in the centre of the flowers. Add a crown cardstock sticker to one flower and a button sticker (threaded with some red floss) to the other.

9

Add some cardstock sticker swallows and an ‘air mail’ sticker to finish.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
