Step by Step

1

Trim doily paper from the Happy Days Designstax to measure 7x23cm. Position to the right hand side of a 12x12 sheet of white cardstock.

2

Trim striped paper to measure 28x3cm and adhere horizontally as shown.

3

Cut a 16cm circle of the sewing paper and stitch a border. Add to the right hand side of the page.

4

Tuck the grid Designer Die-cut behind the circle to the left hand side.

5

Add a 15.5x10.5cm photo to the page and tuck a ‘dress advert’ clipped from the patterned paper to the right hand side.

6

Cut a strip of the fabric paper and fold in half along its length. Coil to make a rosette shape and adhere to the page with a large glazed brad.

7

Layer some of the coordinating Big Bloomers and add the stamped message to the centre. (ink just the part of the stamp that you wish to use and stamp onto cardstock. Cut out to give you a single image). Position to the right hand side of the page.

8

Cut out a doily from the paper and tuck behind.

9

Emboss the bottle top embossing folder and cut out a couple of the shapes. Cut two slits in the centre and thread ribbon through, knotting at the front. Position to the right hand side.

10

Make a rosette of ribbon using the method described above for the fabric paper flower. Secure with a large brad.

11

Position a second embossed bottle cap to the left of the page and add a ‘Cherry Pie’ centre, die-cut from the patterned paper. Add a second fabric paper rosette flower.

12

Cut some of the elements from the patterned paper and position around the page as shown, using 3D foam pads to add dimension.

13

Stamp the ticket image and tuck under the bottom edge of the photo. Add the date to the bottom of the ticket. Add the rest of your journalling to the Designer Die-cut to the left of the page.

14

Add your title to the top of the page using the foam letters and some twine.

15

Finish by adding some extravagant flourishes using yellow adhesive stones.

I am a scientist, and after teaching secondary science for over 20 years I finally got fed up with dealing with teenage tantrums, and have switched to being a Primary School teacher. I live in Coventry with my long suffering OH and 3 'children', aged 21, 18 and 14. I have crafted in various forms on and off since I was an impoverished student and had to make my own clothes! I still enjoy occasionally working with fimo clay, but have really got interested in card making and especially scrapbooking over the past 8 years. I seem to eat, sleep and dream layouts now, my kids see me with a camera and run a mile! it is the perfect craft for me as i have been interested in photography for years, and have loads of photos of my children and family.  My Blog address is http://coventryann.blogspot.com/ for more details/images.
