Step by Step

1

Use the decorative scissors to cut approximately 3.5cm from the edge of your white square card. Cut one edge of a spare piece of red card measuring 3.5cm x 12.7cm (the height of the square card) using the decorative scissors. Stamp the small hearts border with black ink to make a striking image against the red.

2

Now stick approx 2cm to the inside of the front of your card leaving the patterned edge with the black hearts showing down the side. Repeat this with black card but leave the card blank.

3

Ink up your Whispers Words ‘Love Definition’ stamp and place all over the front of your white card. Ink up the small heart stamp with red ink and stamo into any blank areas.

4

Ink up the ‘I love you!’ See D stamp and stamp once onto white card. Over this stamp a red heart. Now, using X-Cut Traditional Heart cut into some red card and then stick over the ‘I love You’ text so this is showing through. Now glue this onto a square piece of black card measuring 3.5cm x 3.5cm. Stick this onto the bottom centre of the card with 3D foam shapes.

5

To make the hearts on either side of this, use an X-Cut heart punch. Stamp ‘I love you’ with black ink over the cut out heart and stick onto black card and trim leaving a narrow border around this heart shape. Make two of these and attach with 3D foam to either side of the heart in a square.

6

Stamp the large 'Love' stamp onto white card. Trim to measure 5.5cm by 3cm. Layer onto red then black card leaving a narrow border of each colour. Stick to the top of your card.

I started card making during the summer mainly to get the creative juices flowing and I really love it. Since then friends and family have all received hand made cards and some have even asked me to make a few for them. I love anything crafty but I find that card making has literally instant results, which is really important if you have little time to be creative. It’s fantastic when I have a bit of ‘me’ time which is always spent creating cards or layouts.
